1. This website

The content on whochangedit.com is provided for general information about the Who Changed It plugin. We work to keep it accurate, but it is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, and may change at any time. The interactive demo on the homepage runs on fictional sample data; names, events and figures shown there are illustrative, not records from any real site.

2. The plugin and its licence

The Who Changed It WordPress plugin is free software, licensed under the GNU General Public License, version 2 or later (GPLv2+). You may use, study, modify and redistribute it under the terms of that licence. The licence text ships with the plugin.

As with all GPL software, the plugin is distributed without any warranty — without even the implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. See the GPL for the full disclaimer of warranty and limitation of liability.

3. What the plugin is — and is not

• It is an audit and activity-log tool. It records changes; it does not prevent, block or undo them. It is not a firewall, not a backup, and not a substitute for either.
• Its records are a best-effort account of activity observed through WordPress hooks. Activity that bypasses WordPress entirely — direct database edits, file changes over SFTP outside WordPress, server-level actions — is outside what any WordPress plugin can see.
• You are responsible for how you use its records, including complying with laws that apply to logging your users' activity (such as data-protection and employment law in your jurisdiction) and for configuring retention and redaction accordingly.

4. Third-party services

The released plugin calls no external services. The optional AI analysis feature now in development will send selected log rows to an AI provider that you choose and contract with directly, using your own API key. Your use of that provider will be governed by their terms, not ours, and we are not responsible for their service.
